All About Us…

My name is Jerry, and my one goal in life is to be a “regular guy.” I work in an office by day and enjoy our farm when I’m at home.  I have two undergraduate degrees as well as a graduate degree, all in business, but those who know me well can tell you that I’ve always had a love for “critters.”

I was born and raised in Southeast Louisiana, near New Orleans, in the heart of Cajun Country.  My ancestry is almost entirely French (but don’t hold that against me), and thus we have my funny-sounding last name that no one can pronounce…Plaisance (Playz – Ance. The “Ance” sounds like the “anc” in “Francais” but I’ll answer to anything that sounds close to that).

I met my wonderful wife in Tennessee, near Nashville.  I am also the father of three young boys.  They give me my strong paternal instinct and need to protect those who may be threatened, be it my family or my endangered critters.
